6. 3D Scanning and printing

Introduction

This week’s group work consists of testing parameters of the 3D printers. We chose to work with the Bambu Lab X1 Carbon, a top of the line FDM 3D printer with the potential to print with 4(!) different filament rolls in one print.

This is our first time using the X1 Carbon, and we are curious to see how it performs against our go-to Prusa Minis. From what we’ve heard from other folks at the lab, the X1 Carbon prints much faster than the Prusas. Today we will be exploring that and many other properties of the X1 Carbon.

We decided to use the same print model across all printers
