Dissemination Plan of Final Project
The reason I chose to make my project what it is "a modular automatic cat feeder" was to solve a problem I have at home with the feeding of my family's cats. Throughout the development of the project, as I talked with my friends, family, and anyone who asked me what I was doing, I realized that this is a common problem and that many people would be interested in a product like this. Of course, there are already automatic feeders on the market, and also many open-source ones. However, I have not yet found one with all of the features I have implemented in my project.
With this said, however, so far I don't plan to commercialize my project, but I do plan to share it with the world so that anyone who wants to make one for themselves can do so. And I encourage contributions and improvements to the project.
License
As previously mentioned, I wish to make my work freely available so that other people can use or learn from it. With this in mind, I did some research and reading regarding which license is best for my project. To do this, I went to the Creative Commons website and read about the different licenses they offer. On this site, they guide you into choosing a license. Next, I went to their beta site to start the process of choosing a license. The license I chose is: Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0)
The cat feeder by Bianca Young Pedras Pentagna Guimarães is licensed under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0
