Hello! Welcome to Mishael's
Fab Academy Journal!
This collage is a mash-up of two references I’ve always been amused by: Eve eating the forbidden fruit (usually shown as an apple), and the iconic pose from The Creation of Adam. I wanted to bring these together in a slightly absurd, playful way, and this is what came out. It’s also a small preview of how my brain works: connecting stories, symbols, and ideas that don’t usually sit together, and seeing what happens when they do.
A glimpse of where that way of thinking eventually led: bringing together electronics, mechanisms, materials, and interaction to develop my final project, Penny Pal.
Weekly Assignments
This website documents my weekly assignments and learning throughout the Fab Academy program. It serves as a record of my process, experiments, challenges, and reflections as I explore digital fabrication tools, techniques, and workflows over the course of the program.
