Applications and Implications, Project Development
Now I have to answer some questions like
¿What will it do?
This project is basically entertainment, it has to do what the joystick tells it to do and give the person a
great time of fun.
¿Who has done what beforehand?
Well this is based on every radio controller car on the market, about the Fablab community, honestly I don't know.
I tried looking for something similar but I wasn't lucky, I found drones and that was the most similar I found
¿What will you design?
I want to design the case, the bases, the PCB, the motor supports and the controller. Basically the most I can design the better.
¿What material and components will be used?
Materials will be: MDF, PLA and some PET.
Components: Drivers, Micro controllers, screws, batteries, leds, motors, wires.
¿Where they will come from?
The rew material like MDF will be from Home Depot, the PLA from amazon, PET the university gave it to me.
Components, electronic stores, Steren and Amazon
¿How much will they cost?
Let's do some math

¿What parts and systems will be made?
I will make the mother board, the case, the base and the motor supports.
¿What process will be used?
I will be using:
3D printing
For the case and supports
laser cut for the bases and thermofoarming mold
PCB cnc For the motherboard
soldering For the motherboard
thermofoarming For the packaging
¿What questions need to be answered?
What is it better to use, wifi or bluetooth?
In case of bluetooth ¿which one has to be the server and which one has to be the client?
¿Is it really necessary to set velocities according to the position of the joystick?
¿Do all the grounds necessarily need to be connected among them?
¿How much wire will I need?
¿How is a 3 pins button connected?
¿How will it be evaluated?
How fast is it, how many different turn it can do, how funny it sees while moving aaaand how far can it go before loosing connection
¿What tasks have been completed?
Most of the design is completed The PCB design is completed and now it's on process of fabrication
The packaging is ready but is a was a completely fail. The laser cut is ready.
¿What tasks remain?
3D printing
Soldering
The code
Test the PCB design
¿What has worked? ¿Whats hasn't?
The packaging wasn't useful
The PCB design is working well
The PCB creation is not working
The attempts of codes are not working
The 3D printing and laser had a few inconvenient but now it's done.
What will it happen when?
When it comes to life? it will be awesome
I have to test the new micro controller once is here and test the controller.
¿What have you learned?
You can do anything on the last moment, but it will be way worst than you thing because you're leaving it behind, you have to work on it every day and with time
to achieve something "good".
Searching is worst than I thought, on the tons of information on the web is very easy to loose you self and very hard to find you again. That's why the face to face explanations
are the best you can do.
Also, do not ever solder anything connected to a power supply, I did it and I had to buy like 4 Micro controllers.
