Wellcome world! Let me present myself
I'm the
third of four sisters, so I studied in a school for girls. I collect Funkos and vinyl records. I
love reading history books, but also
collect some fictional books such as Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and Harry Potter. I also enjoy
building things to decorate my home. I have used lego block to develop different lamps
and the kitchen table in my appartment with 10500 lego blocks. I was the one attached to my father
and help him in many different projects that he undertook at home. Thus, as his assistant, I've got
involved with tools and accesories during my childhood. I think that this spirit made me decide to
become an engineer. My parents didn't finish school, so I belong to the fist generation of
professionals in my family, and the only one that study abroad.
I am
atechnology keen with an engineering background. My working experiences made recognise extreme
proverty conditions while working in peri-urban areas in Lima. That experience increase my interest
in contributing to society deciding to get involve in a civil association to as a volunteer work.
From 2004 to 2017 I was part of JCI Perú (Junior Chamber international), taking part of different
community projects. I've got involved in leadership positions within the organization and was
trained in Bolivia, Panama, and Japan in 2015. Hence, I could led the national chamber in 2016, as
National President traveling I spent 50% of 2016 traveling around Peru and overseas, taking part of
different congress, trainings, and meetings.
As engineer, I
started my carrer in 2000 as sanitary engineer, developing infrastructure projects in
urban areas within capital cities in Peru. However, in 2008 I have the oportunity to work and live
in rural communities. I've learned to work with qechua speaking communities Then, I've got engaged
with spatial planning and territorial development to find solutions within resource scarcity and
institutional voids conditions. That is when in 2009 I decide to become a civil engineer. I 've got
my second bachellor degree in 2012, when I felt that it was time to a major challenge.
I obtained a
scholarship from the Australian government in 2012, the grant was call, The Latin America
Development Scholarship Grants. Thus, I move to Australia in 2013 to
follow a project management master program at The University of Sydney. It was the first time that I
didn't have to study and work at the same time. I've got funding to dedicate full time to study and
saved enought to travel around. I visit Malasya, Indonesia, China, Hong Kong, Macau and Singapore.
And withihn Australia I have the opportunity to visit Uluru "The Red Desert"
This experience connected me with topics like technology development, innovation,
entreprenurship. I found a vibrant city full of social activities with a different living standards.
Then, I came back to Peru with the idea of change my carrer path and get involved with innovation or
R&D centers.
Thus, in 2015 I started to work in Fab Lab ESAN, and focus on developing project with the private sector. Due to those experience we could became a technology innovation center authorized by Peruvian Council of Science and Technology. Now the challenge is to bring support to entreprenurs from our community, by applying digital fabrication technologies. Also since 2018 I star teaching Spatial Planning and Climate Change Units. I obtain a second master degree on Administrative Science Research and I took a research pathway. Thus, I have conform research groups to write some research articles and develop some utility model patents.
