About me

Photo of me

Hello! I am Maxence Fulconis. I am a musician and technology enthusiast working the last few years on electronic wind instrument innovation. I've now joined Fab Academy to learn more about making, the FabLab network and open innovation.

Previous work

I was born in Paris in a family of 5 children and moved to San Francisco when I was 8 years old. I studied Management and Spanish Language and Culture at the University of St Andrews, Scotland. Then, I moved to Brussels for a year and then to Paris for 2 years and am now in Barcelona for the duration of the Fab Academy course. Since I was 3 years old, I've been playing music instruments, starting with recorder, then flute, clarinet, saxophone, and more recently synthesizers. This led me to working for Aodyo Instruments and Buffet Crampon in France making electronic wind instruments.

In my spare time I love to hike, play football, tennis, climb, read science fiction, play music, play video games, learn about tech and try to imagine the future.

The future will be intensely collaborative, with Fab Labs and DIY movements at its core.
