Invention, intellectual property and income

Week 19 · 2023.05.24-2023.05.31
During this week I developed a sketch for the future video, and payed alot of atention into pushing forward the final project.

  • [x] Created a dissemination plan for your final project
  • [x] Outlined future possibilities and described how to make them probabilities
  • [x] Uploaded a draft summary slide and video

Dissemination plan

In order to disseminate this project we should follow the next steps

  • Develop a catchy name which will remain in people’s minds. Ro Buddy · The Robot Companion might stick enough
  • Determine the audience that might be interested · I list from Robots in Architectue, might help
  • Create awareness · Send an email to follow the project site

Future possibilities

After having a proof of concept in order to evolve this project we need to take in account

  • Understanding what might help improving the geometry of the workbench, how mechanical and electronic parts can help to make more efficient the use of the project
  • Make a second workbench with a different handheld tool to trully prove the chain logistics of production
  • Make dust proof containers for electronics to keep away dust from the different parts
  • Try different materials, speeds, and processes to better understand how this works the best

License

As far as I have dived into licenses, I know MIT license is more for software, Creative Commons lets the work evolve with others, and I’m not sure if this work would be subject to patents or some kind of licensing. Since this is much appreciated by the University I work for, I have decided to use a copyright attribution license.

My project could use patents, however, I have not the resources to enforce patents, therefore, the license that best goes with my intentions is fab license:
