Principles and practice

Captain's log

At the end of week 2, it was determined that the G letterpress machine project has certain difficulties that will require much more development: its operation will depend on the constant production of printable matrices (movable type).

After looking at the other options, it was decided to go ahead with the 'MoliNito' project.

The first idea

We start the first week of the twenty proposed by the Fab Academy.
The first challenge consists of communication of the idea of de the final project.

Gutenberg, the inventor who change the world, article in National geographic.com.es

What will it do?

I have been working with graphic design since I started professionally, and I teach classes on editorial design at university. I had the idea to make a small printing machine that could fit on a table, so students could use it to print small books and experiment. Here is an example of a movable type machine created by J. Gutenberg.

Thus the idea of carrying out the G letterpress smart is born.

Who will use it

G Letterpress smart (G it is a reference to Gutenberg, was a inventor who introduced a letterpress printing in Europe with his movable-type printing press, around 1439).

It is a small format (at legal format) mobile type printer, controlled by an app, for independent text editors enthusiasts.😎.

What will it look like

Other ideas

But, this is not the only idea, I have three other alternatives πŸ˜…:

'Donarte', an organ while maintaining the appropriate temperature (-4 ΒΊC) and reverse the temperature for the transplant.

'Memories', a cognitive brain exercising panel for people with Alzheimer's disease.

'MoliNito', a coffee grinder that allows you to adjust the grind according to the coffee you want to prepare.
