Week 17: Invention, Intellectual Property, and Income

For this week, I needed to create a Disemination plan for my project, create a prototype slide and lastly a prototype video.

Disemination

After watching the lecture, I looked into Creative Commons as a tool to copyright my project. I went to their “Choose a License” tool, found here, and this helped me perfectly pick out the correct license for me. I chose to allow others to reproduce, use, or change my work but to not be able to sell/use my work commerically, giving me this license:

It also provided HTML embedded code for me to display this chosen copyright, as seen below:

Creative Commons License
This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License.

Slide

For the slide, I wanted to at least get the base file into my repo. I used Aseprite, a drawing program, to create a perfect 1920 x 1080 white page, that way the file was atleast in my repo. I then made some modifications with simply text and this is my slide as of right now:

Video

For my video, I used a program called Shotcut to create a 55 second long 1920x1080 60 FPS video to store in my repo temporarily. This is the latest version of that video:

I looked into Graham Smith’s repo code for this week to find out how to correctly display a video from my repo as seen above.

Week Summary

Overall this week was very productive in guiding me as to how the final projects would be shown off and how to set that up, as well as how to go about copyrighting my projec and future works.
