Dissemination of Final Project.

Invention

Food waste composter. This is a machine that decomposes food using microorganisms. First, put soil and microbial solution in the machine and let microorganisms activate, then put food in and decompose. It mixes the contents so that microorganisms can easily break down food waste and sets the temperature at which microorganisms can operate vigorously. And the food waste that microorganisms decompose becomes a nutritious fertilizer. And there are sensors that check the temperature and humidity inside. The heater inside turns on and off depending on the temperature.

Intellectual Property

All the work I have generated throughout Fab Academy is being released under an open license which means they are opensource so everybody can download and reuse the files. I decided to license my final project under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) License.

I think the advantage of this license is that it is widely used around the world wide.

Dissemination

  • It is a project that I want to develop with people who are interested in food waste.
  • I will share my design files, board-related files, and code on this site.
  • Anyone who wants a food decomposer that uses microorganisms can try it.
  • Anyone can develop my project.
  • But it can't be used commercially.

    • Income

  • It's not a profit-making project.
  • But if I have a chance, I think I can get investment and develop my project further.
    For Example

    What would I do if someone asked for 1000 of your composters?

    --->I will gather people who are interested in food waste issues and will find investors and receive investments and proceed with projects.

    • Future Opportunities

  • It is my first food decomposer using EM solution.
  • This will help the EM solution break down the food and will require a lot of testing.
  • I will think about ways to communicate whether food decomposition is occurring well through mobile.
  • But this machine is not just for EM solutions. It is a machine that can be used with other microorganisms. Only my first target is an EM solution.
