About Me

Hi, my name is Lu Zhao, and I am a regional sales director at Seeed Studio, based in Shenzhen, China. I have been working at Seeed Studio for over 10 years, during which I have met many cool people from all over the world who create projects with their own hands and tools, which is truly amazing. I have also visited Maker Faires such as Maker Faire Bay Area, Maker Faire Rome, and Maker Faire Shenzhen, and participated in various events and workshops organized by Chaihuo Makerspace. I have been deeply impressed by the creative ideas I've encountered and have observed the trend of the "making" spirit integrating into different industries, bringing more innovative ideas to products and real-world solutions.

My Background

I come from Heilongjiang Province, located in the northeast part of China. After graduating from business school, I worked for a technology company and then Seeed Studio, both focused on overseas markets. Several years ago, I earned my MBA degree. During my experience working at Seeed Studio, I developed a strong interest in learning more about technology. However, since most of my previous work has been business-oriented, my technical skills are somewhat lacking. I hope to gain a deeper understanding of technology-related knowledge from Fab Academy and the developer community. Apart from working and studying, I like music and I am the drummer of our company band; recently, I have also been learning to play the Morin Khuur, a Mongolian musical instrument.

Now I am joining Fab Academy to better learn and enhance my technical skills. I am very excited to meet people here, share ideas, and see what cool things I can create. Looking forward to sharing thoughts and hearing your feedback!
