My name is Shema Olivier. I was born and raised in Gisenyi, a city in the western part of Rwanda near the border of the Democratic Republic of Congo. I graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rwanda, College of Science and Technology.
Growing up, I was always curious about how things work and how they are made. This curiosity led me to explore engineering and, eventually, digital fabrication. I have always been fascinated by the process of turning ideas into tangible solutions, which motivated me to pursue a career in mechanical engineering.
Through my journey, I have developed a passion for mechanical designing, and I want to advance further in prototyping and creating innovative solutions using the knowledge I will gain in Fab Academy. I believe this experience will help me expand my skills and apply them to real-world challenges in digital fabrication.
