20. Project development

This week’s assignment was to complete your final project and track your progress.

What tasks have been completed, and what tasks remain?

Completed

  • Wavy frame Boarder
  • Two-way Mirror
  • Cut out pieces for box
  • Monitor
  • Downloaded Magic Mirror API
  • Doppler radar to turn the pi display on and off

Remaining Tasks

  • Putting together box
  • Holding Monitor in place, using clamps
  • Electronics (mostly done)
  • Box to hole electronics( Wire management)

What’s working? what’s not?

  • Holding the monitor in place has posed a challenge 6/7/22—> Figured out the idea and how to

6/8/22 —> Do it and assemble.

What questions need to be resolved?

Will I need a power supply since I will be using more than 4 Neopixels while using AtTiny 412?

What will happen when?

5/31/22 —> CNC Design and cut out wavy mirror frame

6/1/22 —> Start downloading Magic Mirror API using Raspberry Pi

6/2/22 —> Plan out how the electronics will be handled and start working on Humidity Sensor

6/3/22 –> Work on previous day’s electronics

6/4/22 –> Present on Global Time and Get feedback. DOCUMENT!! Go to Lab and work on Mirror and Acrylic

6/5/22 —> Work on Electronics, Doppler Radar

6/6/22 —> Work on frame, box, and mounting monitor

6/7/22 —> Putting together the box and fixing the monitor with clamps, as well as screwing the two-way mirror.

6/8/22 —> Paint the Frame, Wire management, and NAIL DOWN on electronics

8/9/22 —> Electornics

9/10/22 —> Electronics shouls be finished

9/11/22 —> Focus on 3D Printing and laser cutting for raspberry pi case

9/12/22 —> Wire management and start video

9/13/22 —> DOCUMENTTTTTTT and video

9/14/22 —> Video ad Slide

9/15/22 —> Look nice final touches on the project, and Airtime!

What have you learned?

I have learned that time management and organization are SOOOO important. Without it, you can be completely lost.

I have also learned that some things may seem easy, but they are not… for example the two-way mirror on try 1 or fixating the monitor.

Less is better.
