19. Project Development

What has already been achieved

  • The humidity sensor board that needs to transfer the humidity data via wifi to the motorized valve. This board was developed during the week 12,input devices assignment

what remains to be done

  • Electronic design and production of the board that will receive by wifi, the information of the soil moisture and will control the stepper motor control board by an I2C communication.
  • Communication between the different electronic boards
  • Solar sizing of the system
  • Modeling and 3D printing of the:
    • Mechanical system consisting of two gears to allow the motor to have enough force to open and close the valve.
    • Valve housing that will contain all the electronics with the motor, gears.
    • Soil moisture collection system housing.
  • The assembly and installation

What have you learned ?

I have learned an incredible amount of skills beyond just the hard skills of each week but also skills in time management and documenting as I go. This has been revolutionary for me.
