This is my portfolio sharing some of my work and experience
Hello! My name is Terrence Carew I am an Electrical, Electronics technician. I am also a computer graphic designer. I currently work as a technician and a facilitator at our local FabLab at the NIHERST (National Institute of Higher Education Research Science and Technology) Science Center. I am proud to be one of the first technicians and part of the first FabLab in Trinidad and Tobago. Designing and building is not only a job but also a hobby of mine. I enjoy learning new skills and sharing and teaching my knowlege and experience with others.
I was born and raised in Trinidad. I grew up in a town called Gasparillo located in the central-southern part of the island. As a child I was always facinated with electricity and how they make things work. This lead me to choose this field of study as my career as I got older. I also love designing and building which pushed me into becoming a computer graphic designer also. I have a passion for agriculture so I try to incorporate clean and safe technology to make it more efficient.
I worked for a company which was one of the first in Trinidad to include a cnc plasma cutter to its many machines. This is where I learnt and gained much of my knowlege and experience with machine operating and machine building and automation. It was the first business to locally design and produce cnc plasma cut structures and objects. I also worked natural gas industry where I carried out electrical maintenance.
