NIHERST’s Fab Lab is the first of its kind in Trinidad and Tobago and consists of the Creative Design Lab and Robomania Lab located at our National Science Centre. The Lab’s main focus is to provide the public with affordable access to digital fabrication equipment, and resources for education, creativity, innovation, and professional development. We currently have six staff members participating in Fab Academy training to upgrade our Lab and its offerings. As we are not currently a Fab Academy Node, we are being instructed by Mr. Jason Wang of Fab Lab Vancouver. Our experience so far has been enjoyable as we learn new skills and communicate with the wider Fab Community.
