After searching through different types of licenses, I decided to go for the Creative Commons (CC) Licenses.
I read through all the available licenses, and I also tried to understand what's behind their concept of Three “Layers” Of Licenses .
After a pondered decision, I choose the Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license. "This license lets others distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon your work, even commercially, as long as they credit you for the original creation.
This is the most accommodating of licenses offered. Recommended for maximum dissemination and use of licensed materials."
I think that, at the actual stage, my project is merely the first attempt of a prototype.
I am aware that I need to improve my skills, and I will do it constantly.
I know that the project can be implemented in any way and that it has a potential still unexplored.
Given all these considerations, I am not going to commercialize it.
I think that what we need now is trying to raise awareness about topics like disability and accessibility to cultural heritages.
I hope that in the coming years, projects like mine, all combined, could lead to a positive, vibrant and active community that will embrace this kind of challenges.
These the main reasons that made me choose a license like the Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) that allows the maximum dissemination and use of licensed materials.
