After researching a lot, I think this is the best definition of intellectual property that I understand. Source

What is Intellectual Property?

Intellectual property (IP) refers to creations of the mind, such as inventions; literary and artistic works; designs; and symbols, names and images used in commerce.

IP is protected in law by, for example, patents, copyright and trademarks, which enable people to earn recognition or financial benefit from what they invent or create. By striking the right balance between the interests of innovators and the wider public interest, the IP system aims to foster an environment in which creativity and innovation can flourish.

Open Source Licenses:

Open source licenses are licenses that comply with the Open Source Definition — in brief, they allow software to be freely used, modified, and shared. To be approved by the Open Source Initiative (also known as the OSI), a license must go through the Open Source Initiative's license review process.

Dissemination plan

After the Coronavirus pandemic, we all learned the importance of open source technology to help tackle the pandemic. And because my project needs approval from specialists, so I decided the following:

  • Developing the first model and testing it under the supervision of a committee of medical specialists.
  • After obtaining the approval, the project will be available under the MIT License
