About me

Hello, I am Alecia Gorski. I am a Program Facilitator and Technology Specialist for the Patsy Campana Center for Ideation and Invention at Lorain County Community College.

Displayed on this page is my work for the Fab Academy.

My background

Born and raised a hop, skip and a jump to the west in Indiana. Avid citizen ornithologist, wildlife photographer, and hiker. Technology is constantly changing and we need to change with it.

“Curiosity and knowledge are like fire and fuel: more knowledge does not satisfy curiosity, but strokes the flame, leading to an even greater need to know what lies over the horizon.” - The Explorers by Martin Dugard

Previous work

I’m a masters level student who loves continuing education. I have experience in working with print shops doing design, printing, and technology related tasks. I have worked with this equipment since my undergrad studies in 2014. I’m an infectious educator who loves to show people they can do anything they set their minds to.

I have been working with print making technologies since I was a sophomore in high school. I worked with paper cutters, shrink wrap machine, 1 color to 4 color presses, screen printing and much more. This is where my real love for technology began to grow.

In college I was the Lab Technician for both my print labs and my prototyping labs. I worked with many more processes and machines as my education grew.

In grad school I took a class on Green Prototyping and Upcycling and I was greatly influenced by what I had learned. I now want to continue my education in constantly learning how to apply these technologies to better the world. I want to help expose others to the possibilities out there.
