16. Application and implications

Propose a final project masterpiece that integrates the range of units covered, answering:

a. What will it do?

It is just a fun project for kids. The fabric cat will dance and sing as well as listen for any input through the mic and then repeat whatever it heard. So, whatever say to cat, it would just repeat that same thing in its own shrill voice and dance .It can play a randomly chosen audio from a set of pre-installed audio files .It can record sound input from the microphone and then play it back as soon as the recording stops.

c. What will you design?

I will design following: Mechanism: mechanism design fro the movement of hand and hip. Casing: It Holds every thing together, mechanism, electronics and material. Electronics design: Design the board for the hand movement and recording and mimiking and to control the motor driver and Led ligthing.I’ll be using a esp32 for all the audio processing functions. I’ll also include a rechargable circuit to make the entire sysytem wireless. Also I will make interface with mobile. Programming: - Embedded programming for the microcontrollers - Connect via mobile platform Networking: -I2C communication protocol between main board and the secondary modules

d. What materials and components will be used?

e. Where will come from?

f. How much will they cost?

  9. Assembly
  10. Testing

i. What questions need to be answered?

  1. Does it raise/wave the hands.
  2. Does it mimic well.

j. How will it be evaluated?

Well it works well.?

It can be evaluated as below.

Initailly I intended for kids to enjoy this creation. Later, I understood that it extends further.I can create a goggle-based API for this. I want to use the abilities I’ve developed from my work on many assignments here to create something that incorporates some of these ideas and creates a better version of this.

This project can be scaled up, and more movement can be added to the palm and fingers to grip and offer things, as well as movement to the base to allow it to move around. Additionally, an app may be created, and later on, other features can be added as well as command-based control.
