fernando meneses
Fernando Meneses-Carlos was born in Mexico City in 1981. He graduated in Architecture from the National Autonomous University of Mexico-UNAM. In 2005 he moved to Barcelona where he obtained a Master’s degree in Bio-Digital Genetic Architectures from the International University of Catalonia-UIC. He later received a scholarship to obtain a Master’s in Digital Tectonics & Self-Sufficient Advanced Architecture at the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia-IAAC. In 2015 he obtained a BA degree in Philosophy from the Autonomous University of Chihuahua-UACH. He is currently working on his dissertation to obtain his PhD degree from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia-UPC.
Since 2006 he teamed up with Daniela Frogheri, working together in countries such as Spain, Italy, Brazil, Costa Rica, Venezuela, USA, Netherlands, Norway, Iran, Taiwan, Mexico, Poland, Qatar, Colombia, China and Peru.
He worked with firms such as Guallart Architects, Lutyens, Ajuntament de Barcelona and several universities such as the UNAM, IAAC, ITD, IBERO, UAQ, UG, UDEM. Currently he is Director of Nodolab and Director of Graduate Studies at the Architecture, Arts and Design School of the University of Monterrey, and a researcher at FabLab Monterrey.
