I have a background in education, the arts, crafts and design. My first professional job was in teaching, but I went on to do further studies in 3-dimensional design and metalwork. I also completed an MA in site-specific sculpture. I worked for some years as a designer in the gaming industry, but have since been employed in various fields, such as web editing and development, content mangagement for software development and quality assurance. I am currently studying for a PhD in education and can see various possibilities in applying the Fabacademy experience within the field of design education.

I was born in Iceland and lived there into my adult years, when I moved to the UK to do my further education. I was resident in the UK for 15 years, but did also live in South-America for almost two years. I have travelled widely and enjoy a rich cultural mix and multi-cultural environments.
I now live in Iceland, tha land of ice and fire, as we sometimes refer to it - and recently we have been experiencing the biggest hotspot on earth, with the 'Holuhraun' erruption radiating most heat of all the world's volcanos in 2014.
