Week 14: Invention, intellectual property and income

Individual Assignment:
1)Develop a plan for dissemination of your final project prepare drafts of your summary slide (presentation.png, 1920x1080) and video clip (presentation.mp4, 1080p HTML5, < ~minute, < ~10 MB) and put them in your root directory.

INDIVIDUAL ASSIGNMENT

Because my project is not innovative in it's whole meaning, I decided I wanted an open source licence. Creative Commons looks like the best chioce here. This video explains what sharing and Creative Commons is about:

The licence

At this link I found licence Considerations to read and be well informed before choosing my licence.

Creative Commons has a big network to make sure digital knowledge grows: a well of contents that can be copied, distributed, modified, mixed, and used as a starting point. This is why I chose the Attribution licence - CC BY-SA. This license lets others remix, adapt, and build upon your work even for commercial purposes, as long as they credit you and license their new creations under the identical terms. This license is often compared to “copyleft” free and open source software licenses. All new works based on yours will carry the same license, so any derivatives will also allow commercial use. This is the license used by Wikipedia, and is recommended for materials that would benefit from incorporating content from Wikipedia and similarly licensed projects. It is based upon:

- Attribution : You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use.

- ShareAlike : If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you must distribute your contributions under the same license as the original.

- Dissemination Plan : As my project is Open Source I will probabily create a public git repository on a large cyber space like GitHub but also I will post it on Facebook groups that are into the issue of reworking packaging and an instrest to "reducing waste" hoping to receive interesting feedback from these groups, and maybe even some help or advise for the development. If one day I dicover myself to made the project become an interesting product maybe I could even think about a pilot experimentation on site with very small commercial realities that usually do not take this things into consideration.
