3. Computer Aided design

This week I worked on defining my final project idea and started to getting used to the documentation process.

2D model - Auto CAD:

AutoCAD design software enables the professional creation and editing of 2D geometry and 3D models with solids, surfaces, and objects. It is one of the most internationally recognized software due to the wide variety of editing possibilities that can be found.

WORK WITH AutoCAD In order to design my project in Auto CAD I have used the following design tools and commands. Command: Line. As its name indicates, this allows us to define a straight type line, by means of 2 initial and final points. If we want to draw a line, we can do it in several ways in the program: Selecting by clicking the mouse on the “line” icon. Command: Rectangle. Create a rectangular polyline Command: Circle. This command draws circles in six different shapes. We can invoke it by clicking on its corresponding icon. Or also by typing circle (or its abbreviation C) in the command bar and then pressing the enter key. We activate the isometric drawing command in the toolbar and we carry out the design. To finish, I used the shadow toolbar to give shape and color to the design.

3D model - solidworks:

SolidWorks is 2D and 3D mechanical modeling CAD software currently developed by SolidWorks Corp., a subsidiary of Dassault Systèmes, for the Microsoft Windows operating system. Its first version was launched on the market in 1995 with the purpose of making CAD technology more accessible

WORK WITH SOLIDWORKS First, I enter the SOLIDWORKS software to make the 3D design of the Project to be developed. Access to the coquis tool then to the elevation screen. Then I activate the rectangle command. Then smart dimension. Then extrude boss to give the thickness of the board. Another command I use is mirror by entities to copy a rectangle. For work I use other editing tools for design.

SOLIDWORKS design tools allow us to develop 3D designs.

map bits - Inkscape:

Inkscape is a free and open source vector graphics editor. Inkscape can create and edit complex diagrams, lines, charts, logos, and illustrations. The main format used by the program is Scalable Vector Graphics version 1.1.

the bitmap command is used to obtain a vectorized image
