Electronics, embedded systems, and digital fabrication. Building solutions for communities through hardware and code.
Each week explores a new domain of digital fabrication and embedded design.
ORDER is a self-contained, table-mounted ordering device designed for restaurants, bars, and public dining spaces where speed and autonomy matter. Instead of waiting for a waiter, customers interact directly with a touchscreen terminal at their table — browsing the menu, adding items, and placing orders instantly.
The device runs on an ESP32-based system with WiFi connectivity, transmitting orders in real time to the kitchen or bar with no staff intervention needed. The enclosure was fully designed and fabricated using 3D printing, making it a complete end-to-end hardware and software solution built from scratch. ORDER eliminates friction in the dining experience, reduces pressure on service staff, and gives venues a modern, scalable way to handle high customer volumes with fewer delays.
Applications: Restaurants · Bars · Cafés · Public dining spaces
