πŸ‘©πŸ½β€πŸ¦± About me

I’m Andrea Elena Febres Medina and I am a 25 years old Communication and Product Designer. I was born in Venezuela but I was raised in Milan, Italy.

Currently I am working at SuperForma, a design studio specialised in digital fabrication. I have been working there for 2 years now and I have the great luck to be working with on of my best friends. He was the one who told me to enroll in the FabAcademy and, with some lingering doubts, I finally decided to have trust in him and listen to his advice.

That’s why I am following the FabAcademy: trust. I trust his view of me and I want to grow the trust I have in my capacities. I am keen to discourage myself when I fail, that’s why I hope to learn how to make mistakes and by making mistakes understand the processes more and more. I learned to use 3D printers by osmosis in the lab where I work, failing and correcting my errors. I am excited to learn other processes and eventually learn by doing!

πŸ›Έ Get to know me

I consider myself a hybrid figure between Communication and Product Design. However what I like the most is to design data visualisations: information design is crucial, in my opinion. Making non technician people understand complex topics is always a challenge. On the same hand, teaching has the same complexity and maybe it is for this reason that I always wanted to teach. In the past years I have worked as a Social Media Manager, a Web Designer, a self-taught and not professional Developer, an Information Designer and a teacher. If I teased your curiosity, check out my πŸ‘‰πŸ½portfolioπŸ‘ˆπŸ½.
