About me

Hi! I am Luis M. Rodriguez and I’m from Trujillo, a northern coastal city of PERU. I’m currently based in Lima as I learn how to make (almost) anything!

I’m an architect mostly working in design, from furniture to urban projects. I also have a master’s degree in Urbanism from UPC in Barcelona. In the urban field, I work mostly doing research on urban renewal and I’m passionate about complexity theories of cities, and I hope to do some research on this topic soon. well, Hello MIT? *wink*

I got a side career as a contemporary artist as well, doing augmented sculpture (video mapping) and lately working on urban installations and land art.

My last work was a soundscape installation in the desert woods next to Chan Chan (The largest city of the pre-Columbian era in South America). This installation comprised more than 2500 square meters!

I’m also involved with cultural development and worked as Vice Manager of Culture of the city of Trujillo (my hometown) from 2016 to 2017, being recognized for my labor in 2018 by the city major.

As I side gig I founded and work as A&R at my own Record label since 2012 called Blankhaus music, working with electronic contemporary artists from around the world.
