Mechanical Design + Machine Design

This week's assignment was a group project. Jill volunteered to be our super-awesome document guru so if you are interested in seeing the whole thing start to finish, check our her site here.

Given the complexity of the project and the time constraints, we broke out into smaller groups to complete different tasks. I worked with Kenzo to laser cut and assembly the pieces of our machine. Our Man-Ray Machine had two identical bodies stacked on top of eachother. To be safe, we cut and assembled one body giving ourselves the opportunity to make any modifications for the second body.

Once we had all of the pieces cut out, it was pretty straight forward to put the pieces together. We did have to add a lot of hot glue and packing tape to the design to secure it in place though.
