FINAL PROJECT
Succeeded
build CNC router adaptation knitting successfully doing this
implementation, since the weaver makes a wire mesh with its ends
representative of a hammock.
The CNC router manipulation did taking the weave pattern,
previously analyzed in the hammock, and by G Code with the
coordinates of the pattern
3D weaving was achieved after adaptation to CNC
CONCLUSIONS
Every day
during this process has been very difficult, full of pressures and
challenges, but it has been full of new learning experiences. At
the beginning of my journey my Guru Beno motivated me by saying
"Teacher you have entered the tunnel of technology, this is very
dark, keep walking because later on there is a light" and indeed
there is plenty of light.....
Making this
project fulfilled the gold set in the participation of the Fab
Academy 2013. I still have so much to learn and understand
about Fab processes. This kind of projects will help us to bring
more people to work in a College Laboratory, and be motivated by
other pupils to complete a project in the Academy. This experience
has been wonderful for me.
OUTLOOK
This project is just the start of the building a digital prototype
of a weaver without any complication for the user, so I decided to
separate these perspectives in three stages:
Stage One: I run the machine with the complications described
above to be able to analyze the patterns and time of weaving.
Stage Two: Solve the correct and easy removal of the tissue.
Step Three: Analyze, design and perform the way of how the users
can make tissue knots
ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
I would like to thank the authorities of Universidad Anahuac Norte and to the principal of the School of Architecture.
Thank you Rodrigo, Ivan, Pilar and Florencio for everything and especially for joining me on this adventure, that without your support it could not be possible to meet my gold.
