Computer - aided design

It is quite interesting the geometry in a 2D drawing made by women artisans in Chiapas, where the tissue is rich in color  and shapes, and it could lead to the third dimension.
What I wanted to experience first  is to draw it in Autocad 2013,  so I found interesting to import the images and then draw on them; I used this drawing to work on the 3D model.

Import the image of the table and started to draw

Perform each of the drawings with the belt geometry

This is another alternative that could be made with another mat of Chiapas.

This is another alternative you make with other mat Chiapas

This is the image were any of the rugs are selected. I start working, the conduct in Inkscape, single image is automatically vectorizo.

I started to prepare the Section of the drawing and the dimensions  to be send to the vinyl cutter.

This image is going to be vectors in Corel Draw

So it can be cut in the vinyl plotter.

It was so ready to pass the plotter.

This is the image that will be cut and the file is already on the cutting plotter Software

Download file Corte Vinyl.cdr

When the material is placed on the plotter, it is ready to start cutting

This is our final design

Working in 3D

I started to do the work in the Rhino program, this program has the advantage of working in different views and it is easier for you are reviewing all planes

This is the third dimension of a mat which has different volumes, at the time you make the dimensions of the machine you want to work the difficulties begin.
In the final project I want to apply some of these geometries
