About Our Lab (The Makerspace)

The Makerspace is a flagship program of Jordan's Crown Prince Foundation (CPF), designed as a public, open-access innovation platform. It functions as a state-of-the-art Digital Fabrication Laboratory (FabLab), supporting the entire lifecycle of innovation-from initial discovery and ideation to full product development and commercialization.

Key Technical Facilities

The space is heavily equipped for rapid prototyping and advanced manufacturing, containing advanced machinery similar to the 3D printers and CNC machines depicted in your photo. Key equipment includes:

  • 3D Printing Center of Excellence: Housing multiple advanced 3D printers, including large-scale and industrial models (such as WASP Delta, Ultimaker, and Formlabs SLA printers).
  • CNC Machining: Featuring precision milling machines, large-format ShopBot gantry routers, and lathe machines.
  • Laser Cutting & Engraving: Equipped with Trotec laser systems for rapid cutting of various materials.
  • Robotics & Electronics: Including multi-use KUKA robotic arms and dedicated electronics/PCB (Printed Circuit Board) fabrication stations.
  • Scanning & Design: Providing access to 3D scanners, CAD design stations, and molding/casting stations.
