This week I worked on my final project and answer important questions regarding my project.


The project should incorporate:

- 2D and 3D design
- additive and subtractive fabrication processes
- electronics design and production
- microcontroller interfacing and programming
- system integration and packaging
- Where possible, you should make rather than buy the parts of your project.
- Projects can be separate or joint, but need to show individual mastery of the skills, and be independently operable.

What does it do?

The RC Flying car should imitate both a drone and a rc car, It should serve as a fun toy for both adults and children.

Whats done beforehand?

There are quite few toys that have same ability.

What will you design?

- Electronics circuit and PCB design
- 3D Design of flying car bottom side
- 2D Design of the top side
- Switching mechanism between drone mode and RC Car mode

What parts and systems will be made?

The following parts will be made in the Lab: - PCB
- Flying car frame
- Switching mechanism

What processes will be used?

For the Flying car bottom side, it will be manufactured using a 3d printer, which the part is going to be designed in Fusion360, as well as the top side and it's going to be cut with laser cutters. The electronics will be desinged in Autodesk eagle and milled using Roland CNC machine.

What questions need to be answered?

- Will it Fly?
- Does it have the Ability to steer?
- How long can it operate?

How will it be evaluated?

It will be evaluated based on how long can it fly, and Can it operate both as drone and a RC car.
