3D printing and scaning

3D SCANING

For scanning I used 2 different programs. the first one was 123D cath app for iPhone. I scanned a gundam figure that I had for a wail.


After I finished scaning the figer I opend the file in mashmixer and started to work on it.

The second program I used was Skanect I connected the primesense camera\sensor to the computer in the lab and started scanning myself .


After scaning I uploded the file to rhino

Then I trimmed the exess edges

3D PRINTING

In the fablabil we have a somethig3D printer. I used CURA program for preparing the 3D file for printing.
First you need to set the settings of the printer on the program

For my first print I triad the half ball I design in week2 I triad printing it with no seaport

The bottom of the ball was printed pretty well but the top of it was messed up (due to the no seaport).

For my second print i triad to design 3 rings that are looped together , this time I triad printing with seaport




For my last print I printed the selfy I scanned earlier. I uploaded the file to cura program.

Then I send the file for printing at Ohads makerbot printer.
