Drafting the Final Video
Well for the video I think I will go with this timeline:
- Starting slide Name of the project, Heroshot, logos (Fablab, University) and my own name(4-5 sec)
- Pictures of the process and how I build it (20 sec)
- (time lapse) made mistake when capturing the footage so this had to removed
- Panning shot of the whole thing in broad daylight (5 sec)
- Video clip of the project working (when ist dark) (20 sec)
- Panning shot of the infinity effect(dark)(10sec)
Drafting the Summary slide
For the summary slide I will go with this design on the left. I scribbled this layout very fast using paint.
When making such basic drafts you do not need do be very careful or precise they will change a lot in the process.
The core features are: the mirrors the leds, the Atmega and the RFID chip.
The arrows should point to the corresponding feature in the heroshot.

Future work
For now my cube only contains the most basic functions like changing the color via RFID-Tags future
iterations may use a bluetooth app to change hue color and brightness individually. Therefor I must get the
xcode core bluetooth to work reliable or switch to android.
Another possible improvement is that you can play games like the color pong from my
output assignment on the cube. I will need to individually control each
stripe and keep track how they are orientated in the cube. To do this I need to place the stripes more
carefully inside the cube so that I can adress each led without haven to test which is which every time.
Further I may need to come up with some technique to minimize the damage to the mirror surfaces i.e. scratches etc.
And a way to reopen the cube without braking anything (again). for now this is not possible.(Maybe add an inspection shaft of some sort)
Another point is the improvement of the price of the cube the mirrors and the Leds are quite expensive. When using 60Leds/m
the price is cut in half (but it does not look that good) same goes for mirror foil but the mirror foil we used
for another project at the chair did not create a good infinity effect so I might to use the acrylic glass again.
Maybe I will make a smaller version for my nighstand as ambient light the big one is suitable for my small nighstand.
Our chair often has stand on Makerfaires etc. maybe I will present the cube there to get more feedback or other ideas of improvement.
