ArduinoDay Zaragoza
Arduino Day Zaragoza 2018 Robot
We were invited to Zaragoza after we met one of the organizer last year in Madrid (Open Expo).
On Friday 6th of April my friend Gilles from Imerir picked me up in Barcelona and we went to Zaragoza. We discovered a Brand new Building called Etopia, that is aimed to promote and accelerate innovations. Supported by City Concil, the Arduino Day event has been organized by a small team of passionate makers. This Fifth edition was focused on Robots, that is why we went with some of ours like Pepper and Nao.
We set up a stand in the morning, whereas people started discovering the event.
We saw a lot of people relly interrested by the makers movement, and even if we were the only fablab, we met a lot of interresting makers that showed their creations.
The event was realy well organized, we all shared a arduino style cake to celebrate the birthday of Arduino. David, one of the co-founder is from Zaragoza. We saw him on web conference because he couln’t be there.
There was several worksphops, conferences and animations. Line following race, drone circuits, Blow the balloon robots, and finally at the end of the day there was the Match. A mini robot fight tournament where 5 robots had to destoy other, thos robots were less than 450g weight, and it was really funny to discover how they design them before the match.
We spent the evening with the makers at a restaurant, then we leaved on sunday with a lot a ideas for the next year.
Thanks to all the crew that made this awesome event.
