Week 12
Initially, early versions of the components were tested; however, many parts did not fit correctly. To address this issue, CAD modifications were made to improve the dimensional accuracy, especially for elements intended to be connected using M3 bolts.
The mechanical structure consists of two cylindrical guides. Along these guides, cylindrical ball rollers move to provide linear motion. The rollers are placed inside a dedicated component and secured using a clamp designed according to their dimensions.
This design ensures smooth and precise movement along the Z-axis.
In total, 12 components were manufactured using a 3D printer. After refinement, all parts fit accurately into their designated positions, resulting in a fully functional assembly.
