W_17: Mechanical design, machine design (May 20)
This weeks task was to make a machine ina group with our fellow classmates. In this assignment we had to gather everything we had learned so far and merge our learnings in to building a machine that works. In the Barcelona class we are a large group, so we split into subgroups.

Our first step was to brainstorm in this context:
1- Think of a machine which all group members would be agree on.
2- Open our mind to new ideas and be able to adjust to our partners so we could help achive higher performance.
3- Divide the work equally among the members of the team for the best use of each individuals qualities (all thow we all worked on each of the steps at some point or another).
After talking,sketching and brainstorming we've decided to make a machine that cuts pizza.

As a group we tried to dived our work in to smaller groups but we all ended up helping echother in whatever manner we could so really to actegorize the groups there wher the mechanical and machine building and the circuit design and programming. I took part majorly in the building of the pieces for the actual machine, i milled all the walls and supports while helping with the 3d printed pieces and cut gears that would go on the rails and the bottom platform. What i learnt or have really involved myself in with this project was using the shopbot to cut all the special pockets for the pieces and also majorly the making of the railing system and how it would have to be properley built to function according to planed. I've gotten a better sense of how mechanics work and the possible outcomes of a simple machine project all tough it wasn't so simple my knoledge of machines is better now.
