Lesson 18 - project development

The clock is ticking and we feel that this project is way beyond the schedule of this course,
we have cleared all days and nights to spend between the lab-suppliers and hopefully our families and this soft square that we used to call "bed"...

The tasks that we completed is the general form of the wings and determine the type of material and way of production.
we have also came up with the solution of the conductive adhesive foil that will ease on us to create a better looking and comfortable conductivity.


The connection between the servos and the sensor is done. and it is working well.

we are still working on the 3D printing piece - apparently it created some problems with the local machines in the lab.
We have dropped the glass lenses concept, it will be too heavy - and it is time to deal with the core of things first and leave the styling for the extra time..if there will be any...

so for the moment it seems that we are OK with the general structure, wings and conductive,
the gear seems to work and the LED's are almost wired..
we need to find a method to fit them on the wings...

We still need to figure the whole assembly of all the features of mine and Gali and the integration will probably take us some time,

The electrical and electronic circuits are yet to come and to calculate.
All in all..I am happy with the progress, I think we should have
1. gather the concept
2. define the functions
3.define the parts and supply needed
4. define the code, electronics and focus on the main desired output
5. mechanical design
6.styling and extra features.


This project is 2 projects combined to 1, therefore the integration aspect is extremely important for its success.
