Project Overview

Fully automatic microcomputer-controlled skylight

⭐️What will it do? 

  • A fully automatic skylight for indoor ventilation and temperature control of a domed house.

⭐️Who’s done what beforehand? 

  • VELUX There is a remote control opening, but no triangular window.
  • There is a triangular skylight, but it does not open automatically.
  • Reference materials. self-made equatorial mount

⭐️What will you design? 

  • It closes automatically when it starts to rain.
  • It opens and closes automatically when it senses the temperature.
  • The shape is a pentagon based on a triangle and opens and closes like a petal.

  • Pentagonal wooden window frame (pre-made)
  • Board (breadboard?))
  • Acrylic opening (5 triangles)

  • Board (breadboard?) → SRM-20
  • Acrylic opening and closing part (5 triangles) → laser cutter (or handcut)

⭐️What questions need to be answered? 

  • The entire assembly, including board connections and circuit design, is not understood.
  • The right type and size of motor?
  • Selecting the right sensor and deciphering the data sheet
  • Learning python programming skills
