2.Scene layout
2.1 Connection
- Simple introduce Kinect can catch 3D information with the help of the Sensor
- Use USB cable to connect Kinect with my laptop
- Put a rotation chair before Kinect about 1.5M, and I can sit on the chair to rotate according to the axis of chair.
2.2 Skanect
Launch the Skanect application. Choice some setting in first table
- Scene:body(because this time I scan body);
- Bounding box1 X1 X1m;
- Path:I save it as default;
Click start
Setting record in 2rd tab, It is important to make sure the user action take place and it need about 1.5m. On screen we can get color feedback from green to yellow to red. Green is a good distance for the scanner while red is too close or too far.
3. Scan
Once in position, press the record button in the upper left corner. Then I use leg to rotate myself slowly and in same speed.
I need to process same parameter and then output it as stl, especial in the following parameter
4. data
I import the data into meshmixer We can find there are some broken faces on the top of the head and neck This time I use the command
Edit-make solid
to solid the model- Change the parameter of "make solid "to optimizethe model
- Then update it and check the detail
