Dissemination

For my dissemination plan I've taken inspiration from my classmate Remco who states "The work I have produced for Fab Academy as a student in 2026 can be used, copied, modified, merged, and published by anyone, because I hope people can learn from it, and see how much fun and interesting Fab Academy is.", but that he would like attribution when people use the work. I can only agree with this statement and would like to add: if you use anything found on this site, hit me up! I would love to see your projects.

The licenses Remco uses are all software is covered by the MIT License, all hardware designs by CERN-OHL-P-2.0, and all documentation, photos, screenshots, and videos are covered by CC BY 4.0 which seems to fit.

Final project

what tasks have been completed, and what tasks remain? Over 200 beads have been printed, as well as the rail holding the PCB's, electronics and LED strands. I still have to find a way to hang that rail and create a shell protecting the electronics. I also have to create all cables connecting the electronics.

what's working? what's not? Sofar everything is working, but I have some things to figure out.

what questions need to be resolved? How to hold the weight over a length of 90cm without the top-bar bending.

what will happen when? It's the Monday of the last week now, tomorrow I'm hoping to make a decision on the top bar assembly and get started on the creation of all the cables. Wednesday I'm hoping to finish all the cables and test the full electronics together and get started on the creation of the top bar. Thursday I'm hoping to finish everything and bring the project home and start attaching the beads. On friday and the weekend I'm hoping to finish up documentation of my final project, record and edit the video and create the slide for presentation.

what have you learned? What haven't I learned?!! I've learned so much from all the previous weeks, but I've also learned a lot about myself. How I respond to this high pressure and high tempo programs has thought me I need to plan carefully, make choices fast, keep it simple and just go for it. I'm kinda proud of myself for making it all the way.

What would i do differently

I don't know, everything and yet nothing.
