Develop a plan for dissemination of your final project
My project is not meant to be a commercial product, so I'm happy to provide the information needed for other people to reproduce it. I'm also thinking about uploading my project to Instructables. I got a lot of help from that site, so it would be nice to give back.
There will be 4 main steps and several substeps to build this project.
The original house design had thin walls, but later I modified it to have some space inside of the walls. All the boards and wires will be hidden in these spaces. I will make a sketch of each section of the house body so that it can be cut with either a laser cutter or milling machine.
My goal is to make my own PCBs as much as possible, though I will use some commercial boards like the ESP32-CAM. I've already made some boards, and the designs are scattered all over my documentation. I'll put all the PCB designs in one place so other people can use them.
Right now I'm using many boards, but I think I can consolidate and use fewer boards. I'm still figuring out how to do that, but it'll be nice to clean up the hardware and software design before posting build instructions. If the code is cleaner, it'll be easier for people to edit it.
This part can be done in many ways, so I'm going to focus on how I decorate my miniature house. From painting the house body to placing pieces of furniture, I will describe it as I go. But this part is more about creativity, so everyone should do however they want.
