Having had to previous experience soldering, I first started practicing by soldering unwanted components onto a board.
Then it was time to surface mount, but first I had to identify the components we needed by sifting through a big box sent to us by RS. Thankfully, this didn’t take too long.
My naturally shaky hands made me find surface mounting very hard but I got there in the end. The board is a FabTiny V0.33 (V0.3 can be found here)
The only difference is we drilled through the board and had the pins on the other side, this was to make the board more stable.
