About Me

Hi, I'm **Giga Gigauri** — a FabLab specialist, electronics enthusiast, and educator based in Tbilisi, Georgia. I am currently working at **Georgia's Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA)** as a **FabLab Specialist**, where I focus on prototyping, digital fabrication, and supporting innovators in turning ideas into real products. My background is in **Electronics and Communications Engineering**, and I have been actively involved in robotics, embedded systems, and STEM education from an early stage.

🔧 What I Do

  • Work with digital fabrication tools such as 3D printing, laser cutting, and CNC
  • Develop hardware prototypes using microcontrollers such as Arduino, ESP32, and STM32
  • Teach electronics, robotics, and 3D modeling
  • Support startups and students in building functional prototypes

🎓 Experience & Teaching

I have several years of experience in STEM education and mentoring, including:

  • STEM Mentor in the USAID Basic Education Program
  • Mentor for World Robot Olympiad (WRO) teams
  • Co-founder and instructor at Mechatronics Academy
  • Lab assistant at a national-level educational laboratory

I have worked with students of different levels, helping them develop practical engineering skills through hands-on projects.

🚁 Interests

My main interests are electronics, robotics, drones, embedded systems, and digital fabrication.

I enjoy building practical devices that combine mechanical design, electronics, and programming.

🎯 Fab Academy Goal

My goal in Fab Academy is to improve my skills in digital fabrication, electronics design, PCB production, embedded programming, and project documentation.

During Fab Academy, I want to develop a complete project from idea to working prototype and improve the way I document and present my work.
