19. Invention, intellectual property and income

This week we had to develop a plan for dissemination of our final project, prepare drafts of your summary slide (presentation.png, 1920x1080), make a video clip and put them in our root directory.

Dissemination

For my final project, I am making a constellation reflector. This idea came to me because two years ago I started to become intrested in astronomy. I thought it would be cool to “reflect” constellations onto something that you could physically hold. As I searched around, I could not find other projects that were exactly like what I had in mind, but there were versions with the same idea. Because there are already many different forms of constellation reflectors and apps that connect to machines which deal with constellations, I will not be applying for a patent or any form of copyrights. I am making this project to share with people my interest in constellations and to also learn a lot of new information about astronomy,so I want to have my process open and accessible for everyone.

I will be using a Creative Commons-Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike license (CC BY-NC-SA), so that while it will be an open source, I will still have a license on my project to prevent people from potentially using it for commerical purposes. However, anyone will be able to use my files and modify them - partially or completely.
