Week13 - Break, Midterm review

What should I achieve in this week:​

  • On your final project site post a system diagram for your project,
  • List the tasks to be completed,
  • Make a schedule for doing them,
  • Meet with your local and global instructors
  • To review these and your weekly assignments.

Review my weekly assignments.​

Until 23rd April, 2025, I have finished 12 weeks assignment. And I just finished CNC machine with my classmates.

And I have some final's works that need to be finished.

Post a system diagram for my final project​

Refer to my final project page - System Design (Electronics), I designed the system of my final project. It's a sensors connected to a Microcontroller and send the sensing data to other microcontroller.

There're many sensors need to be bought:

  • GNSS Antennia
  • HX711 load cell sensor
  • WWZMDiB 12 Water Level sensor
  • HC-SR501 PIR Sensor.

After mid-term review with my global Instructor, I need to plan my time schdule to manage my project progress. I already got GNSS Antennia and the essential MicroController which are used for finishing my week11 assignment. HX711, WWZMDBiB 12 and HC-SR501 will be bought soon.

Weekly Assignment​

There are 7 weeks left to finish the weekly assignment and I have finished 12 week assignments. Just keep going and catch up the progress.

Final Project​

In my final project, there are so much knowledge needed to apply for my final project: Here's the techniques which I have studied in Fab Academy will apply to Final Project

  • Layout the cat house - Week 7 - CNC milling
  • Design and Produce the PCB - Week 6 & 8 Electronic design & product
  • Sensors testing - Week 9 - Input Devices
  • Data Transfer and web server - Week 11 - Network & Communication
  • Auto Feed - Week 10 - Output Device and Week 12 - Machine Design

More technique will be applied in future studies.

  • User Interface - Week 15 Interface and Application Programming

Future tasks

  • Buying the sensors HX711, WWZMDiB and HC-SR501 and test
  • 3D modeling and printing the food bowls and water bowls for placing in the cat shelter
  • Create the user interface to show the sensing data from the cat shelter
  • Make a simple auto feeder to feed the stray cats automatically
