About me
My name's CHON KIT. I join to Fab Academy to grow my making skills and hope that I can diffusing knowledge about "Make Almost Everything" to the young students in Macau.
My Background
I come from Macau, China. I gradudated from National Central Unviersity in 2014 with Bsc and National Taiwan University in 2016 with an Msc in System and Control and I research on the application of mobile robobt and Human-Robot Interaction.
I used to be a junior school teacher for Mathematics and Design & Technology between 2017-2023, and I was a mentor of FIRST TECH CHALLENGE, RoboMaster team. I teached students about mechanical designing and the robotic system design. The average ages of my students is about 12-15 years old. Here's a photo about the FTC tournament in Hong Kong at 2019.
Also I served in FABLAB PuiChing(Macau) from 2017 to 2022, which is the first FABLAB in Macau, China. There's only one FABLAB in Macau at that period.
I leave FABLAB Puiching(Macau) at 2022 and I establish the second FABLAB in Macau - FABLAB Macao Science Center at 2023. I'm a officer of Education Department, Macao Science Center currently.
Macao Science Center aims to promote science popularization and education among local adolescents, facilitate the spread of novel technologies and science communication, copliment tourism development in Macao and provide a regional platform for science education, convention and exhibition. FABLAB Macao Science Center provides 'Maker' education for the high-school students in Macao, such as 3D printing, 3D scanning, laser cutting, etc.
