Week 18. Invention, intellectual property and income¶

Assignment:

Develop a plan for dissemination of your final project.
Prepare drafts of your summary slide (presentation.png, 1920x1080) and video clip (presentation.mp4, 1080p HTML5, < ~minute, < ~10 MB) and put them in your website’s root directory

Dissemination Plan¶

My final project, Door Butler, is designed to be a cost-effective and practical solution for door monitoring and home security systems. While similar products, like Ring cameras, exist in other parts of the world, they are often expensive. Door Butler, on the other hand, can be produced for under Nu.3000 (approximately USD 35), making it much more affordable for all user.

In future, if there are multiple number of people who have interest in my product, I am planning to develop a dedicated app and better enclosure to commercialize it further.

From the different type of CC Licenses I opted for ATTRIBUTION-NONCOMMERCIAL-SHAREALIKE alt text

I chose this license because I want my work to be copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format, remix, transform, and build upon the material with following terms: ShareAlike, appropriate credit must be given and not allowed to use the material for commercial purposes.

To put the final project video and final presentation slide in your website’s root directory: - First go to the git repository, open the ‘doc’ folder. alt text - And add the files where 'index.md' is located. - Then when you go to FabAcademy Presentation Schedule, you can see Video and Slide updated.
