18. Project Development¶
For this week we need to finish our final project and answer on this questions. You can see all my progress and answers on final project page.
What tasks have been completed, and what tasks remain?¶
So, I completed the mobile robot and it works. I use 2D design, 3D design, laser-cutting, 3D printing, electronics design and production. The only thing I need is to play with code.
What’s working? what’s not?¶
As you can in a video, mobile robot is working. It can be programmed in a multiple ways to perform various tasks. All sensors and motors are good.
What questions need to be resolved?¶
I had a doubt how to power it. I found a solution by connecting 3S LiPo battery and DC-DC converter. It was a problem because DC motor uses 12V, but microcontroller and steppers uses 5V.
What will happen when?¶
I was thinking to use this mobile robot in my school for teaching robotics and electronics. I also have a plan to modify it in the future.
What have you learned?¶
This FabLab journey was an amazing experience. Before joining Fab Academy I did not know much about digital fabrication. I learn all the different digital fabrication methods. Fab Academy is time and work consuming but in the end it’s valuable and I’m glad I got to the end.
