Light Painting Juggling Balls

Animation

Juggling ball CAD example 1

I saw these light painting brushes in relation to 'unbelievable' photographs uploaded to 500px by Tim Gamble.

I think they're really cool photographs, and would like to create some brushes which interact with their environment such that the photographer themselves become further removed from the creative process.

I have been thinking creating Juggling balls to act as 'brushes' these would have sensors onboard to create a control and interaction system between camera, light sources, and the artist.

I came across mercury tilt switches through some video on Youtube, I think it would be rather cool to include physical tilt switches to control elements of the ball, the combination of their reliability and the inertia on the ball should allow for a large range of variability in function adaptable by the user.

Camera Remote

I have recently been starting making and learning the process of stop animation. For example.

I have found however that there doesn't really seem to be a camera remote (for timing shutter closing, and not interfering with the camera positioning).

I accidently ordered a remote connector cable instead of a remote, so instead of fixing my mistake through returns and things, I decided to make a simple circuit to act as the button press. so I did a little bit of googling about how the pins worked and what actually triggered the shutter through the 2.5mm Jack port.
